Master your behavioral interviews

September 20, 2018

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET

Room 109/110

This workshop is designed for MS & PhD students at the Silicon Valley campus in the following programs: ECE/SE, INI, and iii. Job and internship seekers who are graduating in December 2018, May 2019, and August 2019 are welcome to attend. RSVP on Handshake.

“How do I stand out as a candidate while interviewing for my internship or full-time role?” “How do I make a good first impression within the first few minutes of a phone interview?” You may be asking yourself these questions right now! It's the right time of year to be preparing for behavioral interviews. Recruiters know within a few minutes if they want to bring a candidate back for a second round interview. Attend this workshop to learn strategies to master any behavioral interview question.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Utilize the STAR method while answering behavioral interview questions
  • Strategize how to include classroom project experiences showing transferable skills to the interviewer
  • Learn how to research the team you are interviewing with and best practices for preparing for behavioral interviews
